“Pineapple Express,” “Spiderman,” or even the parody of Kanye West’s “Bound 2” might come to mind when you hear about James Franco. However, this talented man has been wearing all types of hats by publishing his first book in 2011 and running an Indiegogo campaign to turn those short stories into 3 different feature films. James Franco has promised that all the profits coming from those films will go to “The Art of Elysium,” a non-profit organization that encourages working actors, artists, and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions.

Besides being talented and handsome, Shemar Moore surprised us by being a romantic in real life and putting himself out there through his Indiegogo pitch: “After I put down the screenplay, The Bounce Back, I knew I had to make this movie simply because I believe in love all the way down to the fabric of my being.” His honesty garnered the support of more than 3,000 fans that contributed $638,983 to his campaign, so we can expect to see him produce this movie that will bring out the romantic in all of us.

Lil Wayne grew up in a Hollygrove, an infamous neighborhood in New Orleans. He realized early on that he was lucky in that he had access to music and education, which he knew would help him to get out. Now on the other side of the spectrum, Lil Wayne wants to empower other inner city kids that don’t have a lot of resources to have access to culturally relevant arts through after-school programs. He partnered with the nonprofit, The Motivational Edge, to accomplish just that and bring these programs to the youth across America.
